Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Word Wolf English iOS app ("the iOS App"), the website at word-wolf-english.theappary.com ("the Website"), and the web game at /play (together, "the Service"). The Service is published by theappary.com ("we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required to consent in your country) to use the iOS App and to make in-app purchases. The web game may be used by younger players under the supervision of a parent or guardian. If you are under 18, you confirm that your parent or guardian has read and accepted these Terms on your behalf.

2. Your license to use the Service

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own non-commercial entertainment. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, rent, lease, or resell the Service or any part of it, except as permitted by applicable law.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service to harass, threaten, or deceive anyone outside the rules of the game;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, its servers, or Cloudflare infrastructure;
• use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the Service;
• remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other notices in the Service.

4. The web game at /play

The web game is provided free of charge, without ads, without accounts, and without in-app purchases. The web game runs entirely in your browser. We may change, suspend, or discontinue the web game at any time without notice.

5. iOS App, ads, and Premium

The iOS App is free to download and play. The free version may display ads served through Google AdMob. You can remove ads and unlock additional features by purchasing Premium.

5.1 Premium is a non-consumable App Store purchase

5.2 Purchase and billing

All purchases of Premium are processed by Apple through the App Store and managed with RevenueCat. Payment is charged to the payment method linked to your Apple Account. We do not receive or store your payment information. The displayed price in the iOS App includes applicable taxes where required by Apple.

5.3 Refunds

Because Premium is a non-consumable in-app purchase, all refund requests are handled by Apple, not by us. To request a refund:

• Open reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple Account;
• Find the Word Wolf English Premium purchase and choose "Request a refund";
• Follow Apple's prompts. Apple evaluates each request per its refund policy.

If your refund is granted by Apple, your Premium entitlement will be revoked and ads will reappear in the iOS App. Refunds are not available for the web game because it is free.

5.4 Restore Purchases

If you reinstall the iOS App, switch devices, or otherwise lose access to Premium, tap "Restore Purchases" in the app or in the Premium paywall. RevenueCat will re-verify your prior non-consumable purchase with the App Store and re-unlock Premium at no additional charge.

5.5 Apple Standard EULA

Your use of the iOS App and any in-app purchase is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA) for App Store apps. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and Apple's Standard EULA specifically relating to App Store behavior, Apple's Standard EULA governs.

6. AI custom themes

Premium's AI custom themes are generated on supported iOS 26 devices using Apple Foundation Models. We do not guarantee that AI theme generation will be available on every device, that generated themes will be appropriate, or that the feature will remain available. You are responsible for the prompts you enter and for reviewing generated themes before using them in a game with other people. Do not enter prompts that are illegal, harmful, harassing, or that infringe third-party rights.

7. No warranty

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or compatible with your device. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for all claims arising out of the Service shall not exceed the amount, if any, you paid us for Premium in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Third-party services

The iOS App uses Google AdMob, RevenueCat, and App Store purchase services. The Website is served by Cloudflare. Each of these third parties operates under its own terms and privacy policies, and your use of their services is subject to those terms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, but any non-consumable purchase you made through Apple remains tied to your Apple Account and subject to Apple's policies.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post changes on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the new Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply. The courts of Japan have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of these Terms, except where local law gives you a right to bring a claim in your local courts.
