Privacy Policy

Word Wolf English ("the App", "we", "us") is published by theappary.com. This Privacy Policy explains how the iOS app and the website at word-wolf-english.theappary.com handle information. The short version: the iOS app uses limited anonymous product analytics to improve gameplay and ad performance, but we do not send player names, secret words, votes, custom theme prompts, or generated themes to analytics, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

1. Data you enter

The iOS app does not require an account, email address, phone number, or contact information. Player names, secret words, votes, custom theme prompts, and generated themes remain on your device and are not sent to PostHog or to us. Player names and game state are stored only in memory for the current app session.

2. No tracking

The iOS app does not link its analytics data with data from other companies for targeted advertising or advertising measurement, does not use the Apple advertising identifier for analytics, and does not use PostHog session replay. We do not use the App's analytics data to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

Analytics & crash reports

The iOS app uses PostHog to collect anonymous product-interaction and usage events. These events help us understand whether games are started and completed, whether players choose to play again, whether ads load or display, and whether the Premium purchase flow succeeds. Event properties may include player count, wolf count, planned discussion time, round duration, whether a built-in, random, or generated theme category was used, app version, build number, and Premium status. PostHog assigns a random anonymous device identifier so events can be measured across sessions. The SDK and hosting provider may also process technical request information such as IP address, device type, operating system, and SDK version.

We configure PostHog not to create person profiles, identify users, record screens, capture typed text or taps automatically, record sessions, or collect push-notification tokens. We do not send player names, selected words, votes, theme text, custom prompts, advertising identifiers, or precise location. Analytics is used only to evaluate and improve the App, including the reliability and placement of ads.

If Apple's standard, system-level crash and diagnostics reporting is enabled on your device, Apple may collect and share device diagnostics with us under Apple's privacy policy.

3. Advertising

The free version of the iOS app may display ads served through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve and measure ads, in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy and Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. Because the App declares "Tracking: No", AdMob operates without using your advertising identifier for cross-app tracking. You can remove all ads by purchasing Premium.

The web version at /play is ad-free and does not use any advertising SDK.

4. In-App Purchase and Premium

Premium is a one-time, non-consumable purchase made through the App Store and managed with RevenueCat. We do not receive, store, or process your payment card details or Apple Account credentials. Apple handles billing and refunds. RevenueCat helps us validate purchase status and restore access to Premium on your Apple devices using "Restore Purchases".

5. AI custom themes (iOS)

Premium includes the ability to create custom word themes using Apple Foundation Models on supported iOS 26 devices with Apple Intelligence. Theme prompts you type are processed on-device by Apple's Foundation Models. We do not receive, transmit, or store your theme prompts or generated themes.

6. Website

This website is served by Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process standard request data (IP address, request time, user agent) as part of delivering the site and protecting it from abuse, under Cloudflare's Privacy Policy. We do not run our own analytics, cookies, or tracking pixels on this website.

The web game at /play runs entirely in your browser. Word pairs, player names, votes, and scores never leave your device.

7. Children's privacy

The App is suitable for all ages and does not require an account. We do not knowingly request or collect names, contact details, or other directly identifying information from children. The limited analytics described above does not include player-entered content.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning information processed about your device, including access or deletion rights. Because the analytics data is anonymous and is not connected to an account or contact information, we may not be able to associate a request with a particular device. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
